About Ken

“The Jesuits taught me how to live and work by their mantra: a man for others. This experience and training has shaped me as a person and as a leader.”

Following a deep rooted family tradition of attending Jesuit educational institutions, Ken left home in Minnesota to attend a Jesuit boarding high school in San Jose, California, and later Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska.

Ken grew up in a family of healthcare professionals. He spent his youth watching his father dedicate his life as a private practice physician in Minnesota and his mother’s commitment to nursing administration in long-term care. This family dynamic helped him build a successful healthcare career spanning more than 25 years and over 30 different medical specialties, including roles such as:

  • Regional VP for Advanced Pain Management
  • VP for the Private Client Reserve of U.S. Bank
  • VP for Mayo Clinic Health System
  • Executive Director for Pediatric Surgical Associates, Ltd.
  • Regional Director for Park Nicollet Health Services

Ken’s experience includes healthcare consulting, clinic acquisitions and management of small primary care clinics, large multi-specialty groups and surgery centers. His expertise includes strategic leadership, management of operations and capital expenditures, benefits, retirement plans, banking and contracting.

Community involvement is an important part of Ken’s life. In service of his community, Ken was Vice-Chair of the St. Joseph Catholic School Board and served on the Chaska-Chanhassen Hockey Association Board. He has coached youth hockey at the mite, squirt, peewee and bantam levels.

Hobbies

Ken currently coaches youth hockey at the peewee level. He enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, going on family trips, playing and coaching hockey, attending father/daughter dances, hunting, fishing and skiing on both water and snow.
